Meet the leadership behind the Center for Reading and Dyslexia—committed to strengthening literacy instruction, supporting educators, and helping every learner reach their potential.

Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Lynn C. Antonio-Smith
Dr. Lynn C. Antonio-Smith is an educator, literacy specialist, and dyslexia interventionist with more than 40 years of experience in education.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Andrews University (Berrien Springs, MI), an Educational Specialist degree in leadership from Nova Southeastern University (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), and a doctorate in Special Education with a concentration in dyslexia from the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL). In addition to having a certification in dyslexia from the University of Florida, Dr. Antonio-Smith also holds a certification in dyslexia intervention using Orton-Gillingham methods and approaches, accredited by the International Dyslexia Association.
Dr. Antonio-Smith has been further trained in evidence-based approaches to reading instruction, including LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) and Cox Campus literacy courses. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association and The Reading League.
As Co-Founder and CEO of the Center for Reading and Dyslexia, Dr. Antonio-Smith is committed to strengthening literacy instruction, equipping educators, and helping struggling readers reach their potential.

Co-Founder & Executive Director
Pastor Michael A. Smith
Pastor Michael A. Smith brings extensive experience in leadership, ministry, counseling, and organizational development to the Center for Reading and Dyslexia. He holds a Master of Divinity degree, along with degrees in Social Science and Business Administration. As Executive Director, he oversees the Center’s operations and supports its strategic growth, partnerships, and community engagement. He is committed to helping CRD build strong systems that enable educators, families, and students to thrive.
